Welcome to my site! My name is Zixi Chen (陈梓曦). I am an Assistant Professor of Practice in Computational Social Science at New York University-Shanghai. Before joining NYU Shanghai, I received my PhD in Measurement and Quantitative Methods from Michigan State University. I then spent two years as a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Minnesota and a visiting scholar at Infinite Campus, a leading US EdTech company.
Broadly, my research is at the intersection of the quantitative and computational methods, and education. Trained as a methodologist, I am interested in developing statistical tools to examine inferential and predictive bias resulting from data-driven methods. Substantively, I am enthusiastic about developing and implementing novel computational and statistical methods to investigate educational and social-cultural behaviors in digital spaces.
